I learnt something interesting in the newspaper the other
day. They have a little column of home remedies, and this little gem was in
there. I think it is great.
To make your own silver & brass polish. Mix 1 teaspoon cake flour, 1 teaspoon
table salt and 2 teaspoons vinegar.
It works
Also, to remove labels from bottles etc. Rub it gently with cooking oil. Leave a
while and wash with soap. Taa - da.
I love this stuff, the more I look for solutions, the more I find, using the
simplest methods.
I have just finished a informational booklet on Vermiculture. I have been
farming with earthworms for almost 9 years now. I think this is one of the most
effective solutions we have to solve a lot of waste problems we create. It is
also a very effective way of combating the cost of upkeep in a garden.
In this I discuss the why and how of vermiculture, I also provide contact
details of most of the current suppliers of earthworms. Some which I prefer,
others not so much
